Construction of Stage 1 of the IWC has been completed and was handed over to Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and Icon Water in July 2016. It currently provides water, wastewater and recycled water services for the first 3,500 residents in the Googong township. Stage 2 – which will increase capacity to 9,500 people – is currently under construction with works to be completed by the first quarter of 2018.
