RURAL FIRE SERVICE OPEN DAY 2024
Googong’s Rural Fire Service’s Open Day is a fascinating adventure for the young and the young-at-heart. Our local crew from the Jerrabomberra Creek Rural Fire Brigade will be on hand at Googong on Saturday 19 October 2024 with lots of free family fun.
Climb the big red fire trucks or have a go with the hoses under the watchful eye of our local brigade. Try the firies’ emergency gear on for size and share some of the amazing stories from our local heroes. So, if you’ve always dreamed of being a firefighter don’t miss your chance to have a go.
We will have stall holders from Googong Hogs Sports Clubs (AFL, netball, basketball, and cricket), Monaro Panthers Soccer, EPA Dance School, Googong Residents’ Association, ICON Water (who manage the nearby Googong Dam), and Mr Petman will be on hand with some great cat containment ideas to keep your fur baby safe at home.
Enjoy live music, lunch from The Meat Wizard, BZ Burgers, Slinko Potatoes, or
Rotary Club sausage sizzle, and sweet treats from Cinnaglaze, Chameleon Ice Cream, Whisk and Flick Cupcakes and Cookies, and more.
Bring a picnic and enjoy the live music and fun atmosphere.
We will be hosting it in Bunyip Park, with its wonderful Bunyip themed playground. Our Sales Centre will be open in the park too, so pop in and say hi!
It’s a great day out and everyone is invited to enjoy truck loads of free family fun.
