Located 7.8kms from Little Eagle Nudgee, the Boondall Wetlands lies on the edge of Moreton Bay between Nudgee Beach, Boondall and Shorncliffe and include approximately 1150 hectares of tidal flats, mangroves, saltmarshes, melaleuca wetlands, grasslands and open forest. Here, you’ll be able to view environmental and historical displays, and discover facts about wetland flora and fauna, and learn about the importance of preserving tidal wetlands.
The wetlands has a diversity of wildlife, including flying foxes, possums, squirrel gliders and offer habitats to a wide variety of native bird life (approx 190 species). Pay a visit to Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre and meet the tree crevice skinks, become a migratory shorebird, play the animation game, and be immersed in the interactive displays.

Nudgee Recreation Reserve
Newly upgraded, this 12.7-hectare reserve is a fantastic destination for all types of outdoor enthusiasts. It features two soccer fields, six touch football fields, and two cricket pitches, as well as a BMX pump track for thrill-seekers. Families can enjoy the playground, and dog owners will appreciate the dedicated off-leash area. With a wide range of recreational facilities, there’s something to keep everyone—from avid athletes to young families—entertained and active.

Banyo Memorial Park Playground
Discover a charming and serene park rich in history, nestled next to the Banyo Library. Designed by Charles Reade, South Australia’s first Government Town Planner, in 1918 and officially opened in 1922, this quaint park offers a relaxing retreat.
