The Golden Bay community continues to grow and is now celebrating its 1,000th buyer with James Chosholm, his partner Meg and their rescue greyhound Ally recently becoming the newest addition to the Golden Bay community.
Being beachside, and the relaxed coastal lifestyle on offer, was a major drawcard for the first homebuyers.
“Our Golden Bay lifestyle pretty much matches our perfect lifestyle. Every weekend we take our dog to the beach for a long walk in the morning. We really love being this close to the beach,” said James.
It’s a lifestyle to which James and Meg have grown accustom, both grew up in the area and while they had moved around a bit, have found the pull of Golden Bay too much to overcome.
“Both Meg and I grew up in Secret Harbour. Dad still lives there so that was an added motivation to move down here. Meg’s parents have also just parents have also just bought in Golden Bay too, so we always knew about the area.”
“We’ve moved around a bit to stay close to work, but over time we’ve started moving further South again. We spent so much time down here with family and that meant a fair amount of time driving too. It just made sense to build our home down here,” explained James.
James and Meg knew what they wanted when they began their house hunt and building their own home was the plan from the outset.
“Buying with Peet was great, we were very specific in what we wanted,” said James. “There is a lot of information throughout the process and I sometimes needed a hand understanding it all. There weren’t any dramas it was always easy to give the team at Peet a call to get more information or have things explained.
